Reply to "templates are gone"

i keep reading about 'a few minutes' and 'only from 12-2 am'.. refering to problems last nite (esp. templates etc..) well, i was listing (or trying to) last nite, and i couldn't view most of my template either, and this was around 10-11 EST.. which is obv.7-8 pm in CA.. how that is in the '12-2' range i have no idea... but here's an idea... if you need to move something, can't you make a COPY of it first, then move the copy to the new place, make sure it's there, and then change the link to the new template location? why is like actually moving from one place to another? i don't think someone is packing up the templates in a box and driving them somewhere new, are they???
