a template is the background you might use for your listings which can be applied in Auctiva using the "Select Template" button on the listing creation page, where you will be prompted to select from among our available templates.

A master profile is an assembly of smaller profiles (Shipping, Checkout and Marketing) that you can add to your listings at once rather than needing to apply each of those profiles individually.
