Time (GMT) in settings different to scheduled display

Hi, I changed the time in the settings to my local GMT (0) London time, and went ahead to schedule a bunch of items, but when I look at the items I have sceduled, they appear to be 8 hours out. I just want to check whether an item will be posted at the time I set it to or is something wrong?
