I've found it best to do your uploading before starting a new listing. Then when you start the listing, you can pick 1, 2, 3, etc. I sometimes upload for numerous auctions at the same time. Then as I do my listings they are available to pick from.

I think its some kind of bug with Auctiva but this way works best for me.
