I have 2 brown thumbs!!! I have a hillside that I need to do something with. Do you have something that would fit the bill? Hillside faces west, (I can drive a riding mower on most of it) and it's either zone 7 or zone 9. Winter we have a few days of snow and temps that get into the 20's, and in summer we get triple digits. Right now it's just weeds and winter grasses. The area is about 40-50 feet wide and longer than a football field. Oh yea, we also have deer and live in a fire prone area and in full sun. I'm looking for something that is low growing (so the rattle snakes can't hide), won't become dinner for the deer, choke out weeds, looks nice, low water requirement, little care...I know I'm asking for a lot.....but does such a plant exist?
