I've been dutifully studying to overcome my learning curve before I debut as an eBay seller.
I chose Auctiva to be my listing service, because as a buyer, I noticed that the carousel window always got MY attention. I set-up my eBay account, along with a PayPal account back in 2004, though this will be my first time as a seller. I've read through several of your posts here in the community, and I have a couple of questions that I've not seen addressed.
1) Since I will be going through Auctiva to post my listing, how will I set-up my "seller's account" on eBay? I have not been able to figure out how to get there on eBay, without first having to use a sellers form there.
I've put a great deal of effort into setting up my profiles here on Auctiva, and do not want to reinvent the wheel on an eBay listing form. Can anyone answer this for me?
Auctiva did obtain a token when I signed up, but I had never sold anything on eBay.
2) I noted another post that said that Auctiva does not provide combined invoices, as yet, so how will this affect buyers of multiple items?
I intend to utilize calculated shipping, in conjunction with combined shipping. Does this mean I will have to manually credit the buyers for the combined shipping? Won't winning bidders automatically be told to pay, through eBay messages. Or does Auctiva generate those messages?
3) Does anyone know if the calculated shipping costs, with the USPS increase, will be automatically updated? And I still don't know who is notifying the bidder of the shipping charges. Is this through the Auctiva checkout? Through eBay, or PayPal?
Those are the issues that I am presently stuck on...any insights from the community would be appreciated.
Also, for the staffers at Auctiva...
I informed my eBay mentor of Auctiva, and now she is a member herself. She is a certified eBay educator, and did not know that Auctiva had all those free photo hosting services available. It felt good to be able to teach HER something for once.
