Just happens the day you joined up (Sunday), was the day our Photo Host had a major outage, that extended for 11+ hours. That can (and did) mess up everybody's day - and thankfully such outages are quite rare.

Normally - and things are back to normal now - the Pics load up as fast as from any server anywhere.
