Who has a blog? Pros? Cons?

I just realized I can add a blog. It would show up in my store window, right? Does anyone have one that I can look at to see an example? The pro is that you get more traffic to your store, right? The con is that it would take me a lot of time to write quality, ongoing content. Any other thoughts? I'm completely new to understanding blogging.
