Woman With Plan Needs Guidance

I've never in my life sold anything I've made, but I have a plan and a goal, and I need some guidance.

Short Story: Only child is in ROTC, and in 3 years will be deployed...where no one knows. The Army's Interceptor Body Armor is good, but Dragon Skin Body Armor is better. As a graduation gift, I want to give my son the Dragon Skin Body Armor -- see links below for more info.

Plan: Sell my beveled and stained glass pieces on ebay (via Auctiva since it's such an wonderful program!) - Profits go into a savings account.

What I've Done Thus Far: bought SunCatcherArt.com back in January, via Auctivia bought SunCatcherArt.biz. In June, since I have three paydays, I'm going to become an LLC(?) to get tax benefits and to be able to purchase wholesale...buying supplies retail is going to kill this business plan!

Advice I Need: Everything? No, not really everything, but it sure seems that I have a LOT to learn!
1. Categories in my store. Probably one of those DUH questions, but how do I get my snowflake to be listed under Snowflakes? Do I need to do an ebay store to set this up properly?
2. Can I put in the "About Us" part of my store the story about why I'm selling? Or would that be considered bad taste?
3. When my sister asked what I was going to do to promote my site, I told her that I thought it was one of those "If you build it, they will come" kind of things. She laughted at me. I need to read through all the Community postings to get ideas on this.
4. The dreaded pricing. I'm much more comfortable giving my pieces away, but I'll never make any money that way. The cost of supplies I have down to the penny, it's the labor that's driving me crazy...along with trying to figure out what the market will bear. Any suggestions on pricing? I have one snowflake up for auction/buy it now, and no bids.
