Hi RoryCloud & lookandbuyme,

Good question!

While the maximum dimensions our image hosting service can currently support are 1280 px x 1024 px, the actual dimensions your images reflect once uploaded into Auctiva are dependent on the dimensions of the original image file on your computer and, in some cases, the ratio between the width and the height.

For example, if the original image file you upload into Auctiva has a width of less than 1280 px and a height of less than 1024 px, the dimensions of the image should be completely unchanged when the image is uploaded into Auctiva.

However, if the original image file you upload has a width of greater than 1280 px and/or a height of greater than 1024 px, the dimension that exceeds the maximum we support will be constrained to exactly that limit and the other dimension will be adjusted proportionally such that the width/height ratio remains the same as in the original.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance with your account, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the "Help" tab on our site and selecting the "File Support Case" option.

Hi RoryCloud,

You're welcome, but not quite...

If you were to upload an image with a width of 1280 px and a height of 1024 px, then the dimensions of the image would not be constrained when uploaded into Auctiva.

However, if you were to upload an image that has a height of 1280 px and a width of 1024 px, the height would be constrained to 1024 px (since that is the maximum height we can support) and the width would be constrained proportionally to just over 819 px.
