Hi, Guys,

I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to list multiple, similar items that are not identical. In this case, bicycles that are of different colors. Also, I have several different models to offer, but that may be secondary here.

I've started out by going in and setting Seller Details for bicycles. This seems convenient, as TOS and Shipping Terms are virtually identical from bike to bike. No problem there.

The issue I have is color, and I'm wondering if the way that I've tackled it is the ideal way, or just a newbie workaround that I've found (and that there's truly an easier way).

I created an Item details profile for, say, 'Blue bicycle model X.' Then, gone into Manage Profiles, selected the Profile, made the color change for the bike (call it Pink), and then saved as 'Pink bicycle model X'.

It's a little laborious, but not too bad. I can live with it if it's the only way.

What got me to wondering if I got it right was when I saw 'Use template-matching Scrolling Gallery' and wondered if I was shooting myself in the foot by creating separate profiles in that I wouldn't then be able to effectively use a scrolling gallery.

This is a post most certainly borne out of my ignorance, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, all,
Shantyhag

Hi,
That "Use template-matching scrolling gallery" just means that the scrolling gallery will try to match your template color scheme.

What I'd do is create a set of item detail profiles, identifiable by name like "Pink bicycle profile" or "Blue bicycle profile" etc. Which after reading your post again is pretty much what you're doing.
Then when you make a new listing, just select the profile of your choice from the drop-down box.
