Activa slow?

hi, yep i am having awful problems trying to create listings...actually thinking of trying another site if i can find one...SHEMMY

This is the slowest site I have ever tried to use. It takes at least 10 minutes to list each item. The photos take soooo long to download. i joined last week and frankly I don't know how people can use this service. Am I missing something? Has it always been this slow?

While we are aware there are a few customers reporting site sluggishness on this forum, we are not experiencing any technical problems that would account for this behavior, nor are we able to reproduce it in the office. It could very well be ISP related or something of that nature.

I too noticed how slow this site seemed to be. The first thing I did to speed it up was lower the security setting for this site. I made it a trusted site and it made a world of difference.
Another thing to keep in mind is if your working on a "cable" ISP like "Road Runner" there are certain times of the day that are busyer then other times, this will make your internet run slower.
What I want to know is, , ,why does it take so long for my listing to show up? After I list something it has taken hours for it to show up in an ebay search. . .This bothers me. Any clues as to why this is? Thanks

Yes. Because that's how slow eBay is. We've listed them right when you say. How long they take to show up in search is based on how fast eBay is working and how quickly they are able to index the text and add it to their database. For the past 6 months that's been really slow, typically around 6+ hours.

I was using AOL to uplosd my lisyings and it took forever. I just switched to Internet Explorer and I am zipping along at the speed of light!!!! Try using another ISP. I did and boy what a diffeance!!!!

I'm an old timer on Auctiva. It did not used to be this slow. There were intermittant outtages & problems, but for the past week or so it's constant!

Using Firefox. When I'm waiting for the TEMPLATE page or the SELECT PHOTO page to load, the little advice bar at the bottom is saying something about "waiting for Auctiva.com" and/or "waiting for Google something or other"

Why would Google be slowing me down when I'm creating or launching a listing? And if they need to be involved, this transaction or trading of information shouldn't be so slow!

hi, did you not know that google spys on your pc and also gathers information about your activities-trouble is that if you are with AOL they use GOOGLE as their search engine!!! i have found this out trawling the net-but dont ask me where-also AOL have bought a stake in GOOGLE!!!

sorry, i dont agree that ebay is slow to load your listings- i can guarntee that when you you post a listing from auctiva-that takes about 30mins. your listing will show on ebay as soon as you log on to ebay..anyhow thats what i have found
