Hi Rick - I am confused as to whether Auctiva can actually do this because of the conflict with ebay rules against linking to off-ebay sales venues. If the Auctiva store were to become a stand-alone selling site, rather than just a display of ebay listings as it is now, wouldn't this prevent us from linking to the store to avoid the conflict?

My confusion stems from conflicting posts from Auctiva staff on this. One said it would be a future upgrade, the other that it would not be possible due conflict with the ebay rule. I think we need clarification.
Hi ninth_wave,

They can do it, Vendio has been doing it for years, I switched from Vendio to Auctiva over one year ago because my Vendio fees were about $50-$70 per month, they have an actual store and I loved it. When people would check out from an eBay purchase, it would bring up other similar Vendio Store items that they could add to their eBay purchase via a cart system. Also they have the scrolling gallery just like Auctiva's (the one in the actual eBay listing), on that scrolling window is a link to see more items, it would take you to your Auctiva Storefront, but would only list all current eBay items, however, the person could then click a category or other links and they would then be looking at all your Vendio store items. Plus in the actual eBay listings, if you had click to supersize pics, when some supersized them, there was a link to "see more items" or something like that which took you to the store again (initially displaying only eBay items).

I really liked it and did make some additional sales from the store for which I paid a measly one percent final value fee (to Vendio).

When I first started with Auctiva, they told me they were working on an actual storefront similar to Vendio's, but it's been a while. I don't know how long I can wait, I really want another storefront like the one Vendio has.

Regards,
Rick
Hi,

Yes, unless it has changed since I was using Vendio, someone would win my auction and be directed to a Vendio checkout where they could buy more books from my Vendio Store and I would only have to pay Vendio for those extra items, not eBay.

It was nice because I would simply get an email stating that buyer xyxy has purchased two additional books from your store as a result of them checking out, the only fees to pay would be to Vendio, the initial listing fee was about one dime, then the final value fee was one percent. The only problem of course is the monthly Vendio fees which add up considerably, appx. fees... $10 for the store, $35 for the sales manager (includes listing and final value fees), $20 for image hosting.

Auctiva is free! So I am saving all that money! But I really want a store like Vendio has.

Rick
