I know that I can edit an active listing through Auctiva or through eBay. However, how do I add additional images to my active listing. If this can only be done on the eBay revise listing service, does anyone know all the HTML that needs to be added to the image URL to get the image to display correctly in the description section. If add an image to the description section on auctiva, it wants to know what text I am replacing and I do not know where to go from there. Thanks.

Hi David,

I run into this issue myself occasionally, and there are several ways to add photos to active listings. The easiest method that I use is this one (it will add the photos to the bottom of your active listing, not within the description):

From our Images FAQs:
1. Log into your Auctiva account
2. Hover your mouse over the Listings tab and click on the "Active" link
3. Check the box next to the listing you would like to add images to
4. Click the blue Add Images button

If you need your images to be placed within your listing description, that will take a couple more steps and is a bit more complicated. To do this, you will be adding photos to the Saved Listing that you used to launch it to eBay, re-save it, then copy the HTML on the Saved Listings page, then go to eBay to revise it, go to the description area, select "HTML" (instead of Standard view), delete the existing HTML and paste the new HTML into the listing description. These steps are also listed under the Image FAQs link I posted above. Way more complicated to do that way, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you are familiar with HTML.

There is another way to add the images into your description, and it involves the first step I described above, then opening the listing on eBay, click to revise it and cut & paste the images the you just added and stick them where you want within the description area. Again, you run the risk of messing up your entire description if you aren't careful.

You can also just use the "Add Pictures" feature during the revision process on eBay. Be aware that unless you are a store owner or are listing in a specific category, they may charge you for each additional photo you upload.

Hope you will find one of the solutions above to be helpful! I'm sure there's even more ways to add photos, but that will get you started.
