I use Auctiva for all my clients listings. Recently he asked me to update a table with extra items on each of his current listings. As the listings are already on eBay I copied the code from a saved listing at Auctiva and pasted it into the live listing on eBay. This is how the HTML code looks..
<P _fckxhtmljob="1">
<TABLE height=294 cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=1 width=764 summary="" border=1 _fckxhtmljob="1">
<TBODY _fckxhtmljob="1">
<TR _fckxhtmljob="1">
<TD _fckxhtmljob="1">

When you check the code on the original saved file on Auctiva the _fckxhtmljob does not show. Is this code coming up because I am breaking some rules or is this some sort of coder joke?

I would love to know.

Another question, can I copy the code from one of my listings that I generated in Auctiva that is now live on eBay to another listing that is live on eBay? I noticed that when I did that there is a reference to Auctiva Corp maintains all rights to the HTML and images used to create this template Unauthorised Duplication is Prohibited, but I am only copying my text not Auctiva's template.
Hi regarding your first post above, unless you are familiar with HTML you may be just breaking the code especially if the extra data or even the original was created from e.g. a Word file.

Weird looking tags and identifiers are not unusual so unlikely to be a coders joke (they have a sense of hunour ? (my wife thinks not).

Regarding your second post you own the copyright to your text by default (I presume that applies in Oz too).

Regarding Auctiva's content within your listing I believe that copying between listings for eBay use would not be a problem as that is what they are for and you do not pay a fee everytime you use the template, so you are not fee dodging.

To use it elsewhere may be frowned upon, and may be unsupported or guaranteed to function properly, but to sell the code on to someone else would be copyright infringement and illegal without specific permission.

You could always file a support request to confirm this.

I hope that helps a bit. Smile
