Just wondering if auctiva has any plans to increase the maximum image size to 1600 x 1600 in line with the new ebay policies that will be coming into effect next year?
From the sound of it, best match rankings might be affected if image sizes are smaller.
I've added the requirements below for anyone who is interested and will post the link to the full details below that.

quote:
New picture requirements
In 2013, requirements for pictures will be updated to ensure quality imagery on the site.

All sellers will be required to upload at least one picture for each listing – Remember, you can now upload up to 12 pictures for free! Adding high quality pictures to your listing helps you increase sales, gives your buyers a more accurate picture of what to expect, and distinguishes your listing from others of its kind
Minimum picture size will be enforced – All pictures will need to be at least 500 pixels on the longest side. However, eBay recommends 1600 pixels on the longest side so you can take full advantage of eBay picture services including Supersize.
1600 megapixel pictures can be taken with an average 2 MP camera or better
Note: Picture size doesn’t slow down picture loading speed for buyers

Other picture requirements to be introduced next year may include the removal of text and borders. Small translucent watermarks in the bottom-right corner of images will still be allowed.

Do you mean zoom in the ebay gallery or zoom on images in the listing template?

For the zoom on the ebay gallery, i have never managed to make it display larger. I just assumed i was doing something wrong.

For listing images i don't use the zoom. I link directly to the full size image on auctiva hosting.

Here is one of my listings if you want to see how i do them: 3 hoop earrings
I'm not sure if its ok to link to my auctions, but if its not i guess a moderator will delete it. I'm not adding it for increased exposure. It's just there as an example.
Hi thanks...so yours are not working either. IF you get a minute will you pls. post that you are not getting zoom also on this link: Hopefully if enough of us are not getting this they will have enough information to figure out the issue.

It is ok to post an example as far as I know...you can even post your store at bottom if you want to do that.

Thanks for checking that.

Hi Community,

As part of our site update that took place earlier today, we increased the maximum dimensions that an image hosting within Auctiva can reflect to 1920 x 1440 px and you are welcome to start using that option immediately if you would like.

In order to take advantage of the new maximum image dimensions, just mouse over the “My Account” tab within your account, select the “Acct Preferences” option under “Settings”, select “ 1920 x 1440px” drom the “Maximum Image Size” drop down menu and then click the “Update Account Preferences” button below.

If you encounter any issues with this new option, please contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the “Help” tab and selecting the “File Support Case” option. Thanks again for sharing your feedback with us.

Thanks for update. I just went to do...and noticed this warning or notice I should have thought about this. But for those who may be close to their next level here is that warning notification

Remember that larger images will take up more of your image hosting space and may result in slower upload times.

Since I am getting close to my next step up is there a way to convert and find out if we would be going over if we did this way? I know it will be different based on size of photos...but any idea how we can tell if we will be moving up a step.

Thanks
