Just curious if any other ebayers find Thurs. night a bad night to do maintenance? I personally have found Sunday evening the best night for an auction to end in my few years of ebaying & for those of us who prefer a ten day listing for an auction Thurs. night is the best night to schedule your listings. I would also think that auctiva is busiest on Sundays & Thursdays......why not do maintenance on another non-busy night? Just curious if I'm alone on this one. Any suggestions on who to contact with suggesting this or has that been done & ignored already? Thanks for any feedback!

Hi Choo Choo Guy, I am in CST in good ol Chicago, IL. I guess I'm concerned that if I start my listings at 10 pm (auctiva time) will they post next Thurs.? This time around I had them scheduled for 12 am (auctiva time) which would be 10 pm my time, so now I bumped the time up to be starting at 8 pm my time (10 pm auctiva time) next Thurs. Since I sell holiday items, time is critical for me. I only have so many weeks to list & I just lost one from the maintenance interfering (most items did not make the cut off)....all trial and error aye? Seems like each year I am learning something new...ugh!

Hi holiday - You might want to re-check your time calculations. Auctiva time is 2 hrs BEHIND Chicago, not ahead as you have indicated.

Regardless, I agree. Thursday is a bad time for maintenance. I'm in PST and it goes at 10pm. Considering most of the users are probably in the US, it may be wise if it were happening after midnight in all time zones. Preferably on a Sunday/Early Monday morning. Less traffic all around at that time.

Errrm, how can maintenance be done at the same time across all time zones, unless Auctiva has servers world wide, and they would still need to be synchronised
