API error

Just put 12 items into sceduled listings but only 6 were uploaded at the scheduled time the other 6 had a message API error check your Ebay personnel information. I checked, and changed it to Private as there was nothing listed, neither Private or Business. What is this about? Why did Auctiva upload 6 and not the other 6?

You need to file a support request with Auctiva to get this fixed. It could be many things. File a support request through the help page of Auctiva. They can examine the error and let you know how to fix it.

This API error is a result of some recent changes eBay made to the posting process used by 3rd party listing services, such as Auctiva, to make it easier for developers to comply with European Union restrictions for business sellers. Additional information on this new policy can be found on the following page: http://ebaydeveloper.typepad.com/dev/2008/01/logic-changes-f.html

If your listings are failing to post and an API error of this nature is returned, you just need to go into your eBay preferences and define whether your account is for "personal" or "business" use. Once this change has been made, you should be able to successfully post the listings that were previously rejected due to this error.
