API Error
Either your Description, Location, or Checkout Instructions has Java script that is not allowed.

I received the above error message on 2 out of 16 listings that I posted. All listings were created using the "create similar" option after I created the first listing. The first listing posted with no errors.
I have gonee back to these two listings and changed everything I can think of. I even recreated the listings from scratch.
Anything I'm missing???
Thank you.

Hi willow,

eBay has some pretty strong filtering for illegal javascript that will sometimes reject things that are harmless. For example, in your listings which failed, the use of parentheses appears to be the cause. Below is rejected by eBay:

<font color="#f5f5dc" face="Arial" size="4">ONE FIREPLACE (PLUGS INTO LUNDBY DOLLHOUSE AND LIGHTS UP WITH A BULB LOCATED BEHIND THE LOGS)</font>

We've asked eBay about this before and their explanation is that the use of DHTML and other techniques can be used to obscure the actual script in the description, so they have to make things super strict to be thorough, but this is pretty frustrating. I suppose you'll need to revise the parts of your description that use parentheses and make sure it will post ok.

Hope this helps,

Joe
That did the trick!!
Weird though, because all of my auctions have at least one set of parenthesis in the final setence of my description: "We will combine shipping charges for multiple items won (unless otherwise noted)".
But I guess the ebay system can tell which part is only instructions and which part is description?
Anyhow... Thanks again so much!
