Hi andrea49,

Thanks for letting us know about this. The error you are referring to is actually occurring due to an issue on eBay's end of things. We have opened a support case with their developer support team regarding this matter but we haven't heard back from them yet, so I can't say when it will be resolved at the moment.

From what I've seen, it appears this error is specific to the Baby Gyms category on the ebay US website and a certain auto parts category on the eBay UK website. Since the error is category specific, you should be able to post this item successfully by selecting a different category - you could also post the item directly through eBay's "Sell your Item" form if you'd prefer.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our customer support team using the web form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

I normally sell Volvo bits and the occasional whole car. I listed some bits today and all went well. When I tried to list a car it gave me the dreaded error code. Nothing I did would work. I even changed the listing catagory thinking I could revise it later on Ebay but that just generated different error codes.

I listed a car last week and all was fine. What's going on?

I love Auctiva's templates and would really miss using them (Ebay's suck!) can anyone tell me if this is a passing phase.
I wonder if its anything to do with the regstration number input screen?

I have listed 4 cars today and every one came up as 'not found' when attempting via auctiva but worked properly directly on eBay.co.uk

the same error message evey time on auctiva

also it seems generally very sloooow everywhere on auctiva today.
Hi Community,

Update - We just heard back from eBay regarding this matter and they finally acknowledged the existence of this bug on the following thread in their developer's forum: http://dev-forums.ebay.com/thread.jspa?tstart=0&threadI...icache=1224882276391

They haven't posted an ETA as to when the problem will be resolved but they will be posting additional information to that thread as it becomes available, so I recommend checking there periodically for updates on this issue.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to post items to the Baby Gyms category on eBay US or some car categories on eBay UK until this issue is resolved so, if there are items that you need to post in any of these categories right away, I recommend posting those items directly through eBay's "Sell your Item" form.

If you would like to use Auctiva's image hosting and design tools when doing so, just go to your Auctiva "Saved Listings" page and click the <HTML> icon next to the item, then copy the HTML code that appears in the pop-up window. When creating your listing through eBay, if you click the "HTML" tab on the editor and past in the copied Auctiva HTML, the listing will look just like the one you designed in Auctiva.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our customer support team using the web form on the following page: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

Pebsham I have just done what you are asking about, using the instructions posted by Mike immediately above your post.
Make sure when you are in Ebay you use the advanced sell option. When you get to the description you should see 2 tabs - select the one that says HTML and then paste the HTML code you have copied using Mike's instructions above.
Then click on preview under the description box and you should see the same as if you had posted through Auctiva
Hi Mac1 I understand what Mike was saying but I use to good effect one of Auctiva's templates which gives me a background and surround etc. The part Mike is talking about is just the listing text. If I copy and paste this all I get is a vanilla Ebay page with a description that has some HTML tags. It's the whole reason I use Auctiva.
No, the method Mike describes will give you a listing exactly the same as if posted through Auctiva - I know I have done it, including all template backgrounds, photo layouts, pre-filled shipping info etc. Just follows his instructions and the additional info I have given. The only problem is if you are using a web browser other than IE, both Mozilla and chrome gave me problems when trying this
