API error - title description or eBay policy violation..???

I've never gotten an error message before, so I'm really baffled. I also don't know how to get in touch with Auctiva support... through the forums?

This is the error message I'm getting:

eBay has not posted your item due to title, description, and/or eBay policy violation. Please contact Auctiva support for more information on why your listing has failed to post.

You can contact Auctiva support through the help button at the top of the page..scroll down a bit to the right, you'll see the link.

This kind of error message can be alot of things, designer name brand, accepting cash, even something as simple as saying Like New in the title (can't do that anymore). What kind of item are you trying to list?

Hi 8880, thanks for the response. I'm trying to list Seven for all mankind jeans (authentic, of course). My terms are all the same as on other listings that have gone through and I don't accept cash, so I don't know what the problem could be... I will try Auctiva customer service, thanks!

Hi I had this problem also but only on Diesel and Bcbg designer clothes you could try changing the title ,description does not seem to be the problem so you can keep the brand name in the description I am not new on ebay or sell cou nterfeit items.

Hi I just sorted my problem with API error I had to link my paypal account to ebay in the addresses section of ebay on the left under my accounts here how i did it Go to Ebay > My account > Adresses> View all shipping addresses link > Add paypal address button and sign in to paypal they are then linked .Whew

Hi, thank you for all the responses. Apparently I had the same problem as kcjohnso, my PP and eBay accounts were not linked. I don't understand how this could be since I've always used one PP and one eBay account for several years, how could they not be linked?? I haven't tried listing the item, but I think my problem is solved. Thanks again

i've had the same error today. i'm a new lister with auctiva, but i know my ebay and paypal accounts are linked, and i'm not selling anything that would be limited through ebay (just generic lotions and hair products). any other ideas?
