I have been having a problem for a couple of days now when trying to list via Auctiva.I keep getting an API error saying that I cannot post until I sign Ebays International Seller Agreement.

I have since signed the agreement but still keep getting the same error.I have contacted Auctiva and Ebay but they are blaming each other.I can list items Internationally using Ebay tools without a problem but don't wish to do this as it is tedious and I can't have as many photos on my listings.

As a work around I decided to use the auctiva listing but remove the international shipping options with a view to adding them back via Ebay but now when I try to list I get this error: -

To help new private sellers like you get used to selling and delivering the level of customer service you need to succeed, we do not offer bulk editing and listing tools to new private sellers. Since you are new to selling in the UK, you will not be able to use a bulk editing / listing tool at this time. When 90 days have passed after your first sale and you have 10 or more feedback points as a seller (feedback points as a buyer do not count in this case), you will automatically be able to use bulk edit / listing tools. In the meantime, please use the Sell Your Item form or Easy Lister to list your items.

I HAVE BEEN SELLING ON EBAY FOR YEARS! :P

Is nobody else experiencing this problem?

Hi Jenxstar,

I'm sorry to hear that you are encountering this problem. I have not been able to locate your account based on the information available to me, but I definitely recognize both of the API errors you mentioned because I have seen eBay return them for other sellers as well.

The first API error you mentioned *should* mean that eBay has made a change to their international selling agreement and, upon receiving that error, you should have been able to post your listings successfully after going to the URL in the error message and accepting the new international selling agreement.

The second API error that you received is related to a new policy eBay UK has implemented recently that is preventing new sellers from using third party listing tools (such as Auctiva) to post or revise their items until they have met the requirements listed in the message, but I have not seen that message returned in error before.

Based on what you described, it really sounds like eBay's system generated both of these API messages in error and, unless there is some information I am missing, I am inclined to agree that there must be a technical problem on the eBay side of things that is causing these errors to be generated inappropriately.

Although I am uncertain if there will be anything more I can do to help you out with this, if you reply to the support case you opened about this situation and request to speak to me by name, I'll be happy to review your account and see if I can find anything new.

-Mike
