Hi- is anyone else getting this warning in their notifications section (2nd box). I contacted auctiva and they said it was ebay issue. I have not psyched myself mentally to get online or call ebay yet. Confused Just wondered if others are having. So far I have seen these on jackets and sweaters because have not been listing other items yet.

What exactly does this mean anyone know???

API Warning

Although condition definitions have changed, we have retained the condition value as specified in the original listing.

thanks

mattandleah,

You are getting a warning, not a failure. This is because eBay has started issuing warnings for listings with items in categories that use their new item condition designations. They will continue to accept (and warn on listings) with the old item conditions up to July 27, at which time they will require new listings and revisions to listings use the new item conditions.

We will have the Auctiva site updated in early June (which is well before the July 27 deadline) so that users can (and will be required) to enter the new item conditions. In addition, we will be providing a tool to allow you to convert your saved listings on Auctiva to the new item conditions.

I haven't mentioned good till canceled listings (GTC); those will eventually have to be dealt with if they are affected by the item condition changes, but enforcement of item condition on GTC listings will not be for a while yet...well past July of this year. Here is a link to a story on Auctiva EDU that gives even more details.

So don't worry about these API warnings for right now...its just eBay letting you know that the new item conditions are rolling out.
I know it's a warning, but it seems that my listings are not being posted correctly because of it, which seems more like a failure to me. When I go to my actual Ebay listings, the spot for Item Condition is blank. It used to say "New" and I want it to say "New" but ever since this warning started popping up on Auctiva, the condition spot on the actual ebay listings for all of my items posted through Auctiva is blank. How can I fix this in the time until you roll out the fix in late June?

thanks,

-Matt
