Your all going to love me! I finally found a solution for mac users. I just tried a web browser called "Camino" It's built off of Mozilla's Firefox, but not by Mozilla. It is supposed to be the fastest web browser available for the Mac. I have only tested it with Auctiva, but it's sure a nice looking browser.

THE TESTS: I was able to successfully upload images both with the JAVA uploader and the BASIC HTML uploader, and I am able to edit with it as well!

Finally!!! I haven't found any problems with it and I think this is our solution we've been asking for.

Here is the link from Apple's website to download the browser:

Well, enjoy!!

I got a runtime error.

quote:
Server Error in '/' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

What OS is everyone using? I tried it out on a G4 iBook running OS 10.4.3

Yes, I know, I am running Jaguar, which is old.

Nothing wrong with that! My tower is still running 10.2.8. However I have purchased Tiger for it and just need to get around to installing it!

I keep discovering more and more things I like about Tiger vs. Jag and as I use those features on my laptop I miss them on the desktop.
10.4.5 has a fix for emac users, specifically. I can only assume it was for some of the problems you had, and based on my sources, it should. But as it would be, I can't make any promises since I don't have an eMac handy to try it out on.

BTW, did you try out the Camino since Auctiva's been back up? I've been listing with it this evening, no problems to report with either uploading images or editing text!!!
I wasn't the one with the emac Wink I didn't upgrade my ibook after reading about the problems, even tho I probably wouldn't have been affected as much. In general I wait at least a week to install new OS updates in case there are big bugs.

I spent the evening watching TV and not listing. Gotta catch up tomorrow. But there was no way I could miss the designs on Project Runway's finale...I would've been rewinding constantly after missing something from looking at the computer screen.
