Relisting an item that sells on ebay means it will appear better in the best match search engine results. If I am using auctiva to relist exactly the same item will I still be getting the same benifits?

While I'm not familiar with the best match logic you have described, an item that is relisted using the "Relist" option on the Closed Listings page is effectively the same as an item that is relisted through your My eBay page, so I suspect you will find that you realize the same benefits when relisting your items through Auctiva.
