Auctiva and image hosting

When we upload images to listings and then upload that listing to Ebay, why does Auctiva have to keep that image on their servers if we don't use them in the description?

The reason I ask, Ebay is getting rid of Turbo Lister next year. When using Turbo Lister, the uploaded images are on our hard drives. Once they go on the Ebay servers, whay do you have to retain them.
