Auctiva and photobucket

You can use Photobucket hosting. There's place on the listing page where you can choose to use external hosting. Without looking I can't remember exactly where but somewhere around (above, I think) the images part of the lister.

On the lister page, right underneath where you select all your images, there is a link to "switch to externally hosted images". Once you switch you can easily add images from your photobucket account.

I use photobucket but the only pictures that show are the ones uploaded directly to auctiva.

None of my photobucket pictures show in my store, althought they do show on ebay listing page.

Your Auctiva Store? Right?

Or are you talking your eBay Store? Gallery Pics?

I believe and I could be wrong, that in order for Auctiva to "grab" the pics to place into your Auctiva Store, the pic must be uploaded in Auctiva. Since the pic isn't stored on Auctiva it has no way to "grab" the pic. It's the same for using the fill in info for books, media etc that's available..those are stored on a server that doesn't belong to Auctiva so they can't grab them for your use.

Actually, you can use photos from an external host -- but you have to specify that in the listing. I haven't actually done it myself yet but I know it's an option. As long as Auctiva knows where the image is then they can get it..

lona, are you saying that you used the "external hosting" feature but that's the problem it causes you? If so, I'd file a support request (bottom of the Help page).

I used external hosting option and uploaded my pictures from photobucket.

The photobucket pictures appear on ebay but not on my Auctiva store.

The pictures I used via Auctiva upload do show in my store.
