Hi all,
I turned off Auctiva's checkout system a couple of weeks ago. I think my buyers find it easier not having to use it.
My question and concern is...When I turned off the Auctiva checkout system did I also turn off the Auctiva optional insurance that went with my listings.
On generating the listings, the listings show that Auctiva insurance is enabled.
I just sold an item where the winner paid for the optional insurance and I thought Auctiva would cover and charge me accordingly.
But when I went to my Auctiva account...The insurance transaction is not showing.
Can anybody enlighten me with some knowledgeable answers in regards to my problem?
Thanks, Mike

I think I just found my own answer to my question.
I went back to my account and then to Auctiva Shipping Insurance Settings...Towards the bottom left of the 1st box is the following;

[Auto-Purchase Settings
Auto-Purchase Insurance
Enable this setting to automatically purchase Auctiva Shipping Insurance policies for all eligible non-Auctiva Checkout transactions where the buyer chooses to use insurance or where insurance is required.]

Come to find out that if you don't have Auctiva checkout enabled you have to check the box to the left of "Auto-Purchase Insurance"

I just checked it, and now when my customers purchase insurance the Auctiva insurance will now be in force.

Live and learn!
OK Folks,
One of my customers just paid and purchased insurance...
The Auctiva Insurance did not kick in as I thought it would. Please read my post #2.
I did everything I said on post #2 and just re-check it, the following is copied and pasted right from my settings;
{Auto-Purchase Settings
Auto-Purchase Insurance
Enable this setting to automatically purchase Auctiva Shipping Insurance policies for all eligible non-Auctiva Checkout transactions where the buyer chooses to use insurance or where insurance is required. This setting will affect sales after 3/18/2009 8:00:18 PM.}
It said I would be covered after 3/18/09.
It didn't work...Does anybody have any ideas as to what is going on?
Confused...Mike
