Auctiva improvements

Ugggggh, every time I hear the words "update" or "upgrade" I start to shudder....my hobby (other than EBAY sales) is genealogy. When one of my genealogy sites underwent an "upgrade" it was many days before things began to work smoothly and some of the great features it once had were no longer there.

lets cross our fingers that Auctiva has better computer technicians working for them than does my genealogy site!

Well to be honest, we make minor improvements continuously and release the changes about once a week on average. This was an infrastructure upgrade (did you read our press release) to enable us to handle our current and future bandwidth demands as a result of our growth.

OK, so I'm a little dense....when I kept seeing the red ALERT notice on the home page, I thought it had to do with (1) get a lower mortgage price (2) click here for a chance to win the lottery (3) classmates/reunions/dating service, etc. All those weird popups that appear on many other sites.

Now I am faithfully reading the ALERTS whenever I open the Auctiva site.

I completely understand! I pretty much ignore banner ads like that also... but in this case on our Auctiva site, that alert is actually from us. It is there when we are doing maintenance, or when we are making changes to our site to alert our users of our status.
