I signed up last nite and have been reading most every post. My question is, I am new to getting a store up and running on ebay. I have used TL and I have not had any problems, what scares me is I will start with auctiva and I will be posting some of the same messages you folks are. In order to give it a fair shake, because I do like the templates and other things, this may be a small majority that is having problems. Are any of you actively using auctiva and are happy with no problems? thanks all

From my experience and what I see on the boards is there are few problems if you launch direct and do not use the scheduler. I have stopped using the store window due to it being sporadic at updating. I never used the checkout because all services seem to have issues with that. I also will not buy from a seller if they direct me to use a checkout other than eBay’s. As you can see just use the parts that work for you. Unlike other services that charge and are broken at least Auctiva it is free. My one big complaint with all services is the lack of notifying about issues with the service. They wait until the boards are full of angry users and then pass it off as a temporary issue, even though it has been going on for days. I guess that is more than my 2 cents worth.
There has always been a reconcile problem since I have been here. I know it is probably eBay and the API at times but it is always treated as no big deal. By the time we go back and forth on the support ticket and you show the problem resolved, the auctions have ended. Also look at all the problems yesterday. At the end support says, oh yea, we did an upgrade. Thanks for letting us know and letting everyone get all worked up all day.
Tom I hope you don’t take what I have said as bashing. I just state things as I see them and try to base them on facts without the embellishing that many do.

At first I thought the window not updating was no big deal, after all they were still all listed on eBay. Then I had a couple of my good repeat buyers start making separate payments to me through payPal for items bought the same day. I come to find out that they stopped clinking view sellers other items and just clicked on the Auctiva store. They then would later see I had more listings on eBay. The real winner here was payPal getting .30 for each transaction. The whole concept of the window and store is great. It is a great looking overview of your listings with thumbnails. It just needs to be more reliable with updating. It is just ridiculous what eBay charges for that postage stamp sized gallery image.
