I just signed up with Auctiva and I'm getting profiles and stuff set up. I've been using Endicia for postage and shipping insurance for several years. There is a lot of marketing hype on this site about Auctiva's insurance and I'd like to evaluate whether to use it or not, but in all my searching I can't find a single word about the fee structure. I do 99% of my shipping by mail and use Internet Tracking/Delivery Confirmation on all my domestic shipments (best $.19 I spend with USPS). My international shipments also go by mail (usually 1st Class International) and it is not tracked. The insurance fees are simple for my mail shipments at Endicia - $.75 per $100 insured value for domestic tracked shipments, $1.65 per $100 value for untracked international mail shipments and they even let you include the postage cost in the declaration of value for the package so you recover your shipping cost when a package is lost or damaged.
Can anybody point me to where I can find Auctiva's insurance fee structure? Also, has anyone had a loss and filed a claim? Was it a hassle? Do you have to do any more than fill out a short form and furnish your eBay sales and Post Office proof of mailing documentation?
Thanks in advance for any information on this matter?
