Hi

I have 2 questions:

1. I would like to send Auto-Email to the buyer only after he payed me, and not when he won. How can I do that with Auctiva?

2. In case I sell 2 different products - I need for each one to send different Auto-Email, each one with a link to the product. How can I set different Email formats to different sales?

Hi Eh,

Welcome to Auctiva!

1) We don't offer any functionality that can be used to automatically send your buyers emails once they have paid, but you could potentially create a custom email template and for that purpose and send the email out manually when your buyers complete the process of paying for your items.

If you create a custom email template with a message you would like to send to your buyers once they have paid for the items they purchase, you could then send that email by clicking the "Transactions" link under the Sales tab within your account and selecting the "Email Buyer" option next to the item. You will then need to select the "Email Type" that you classified the custom email you'd like to send as and you'll see the option to send that email.

2) If you are selling two different types of items, you should actually be able to use the same email template for both. When you create a custom email template, you can use the buttons in the "Item Information" section to add tags to your email template that will be replaced with that information specific to the item in question when you send the email template to the buyer of an item.

reguarding part 2 of the above question we are also having problems in doing this . just like eh we are selling more than 1 item and dont want the same email going to evey one who buys from us . 1 email for one buyer and another email for the second product . as we will be giving a link for our first product and a different link for the next product ! how do we if possible to link the item with the email

I was actually thinking that you just wanted to include a link to the item number in these emails when I wrote up part 2 of my response above. If that is the case, you actually can use the same email template for multiple items because you would just place the [ITEMNUMBERLINK] tag in the email template and, when the email is sent for a particular item, a link to the actual item would replace that tag in the email that is sent out.

On the other hand, if you need to include different static links in the emails you send out for different products, you would need to create a new email template for every product for which the emails needs to contain a different static link. By "static link", I am just referring to any link that cannot be generated by one of our custom email template tags.
