Hi wbt,
Thanks for contributing to our forum. It is possible to set up your Auto Relist profile such that your items will relist automatically regardless of whether or not they sell as you described but, before you can do so, you will first need to enable the Inventory feature within your account.
You can enable the Inventory setting within your account by mousing over the “My Account” tab, selecting the “Inventory” option under “Settings”, checking the box next to “Use Inventory Management”, and then clicking the “Update Inventory Preferences” button at the bottom of the ensuing page.
Once you have enabled this setting, you will then want to set up your Auto Relist profile by selecting “Don't Auto-Relist based on items sold” and “At least 1 items are available in Inventory” in the section labeled “I Want to Auto-Relist if”. You only need to check the "Auto Repost" option if you would like your items to post as new listings from your Saved Listings page (instead of relisting) when they do not qualify for an eBay relist credit.
If you post your items using this Auto Relist profile without actually entering the products into the Inventory section of your account (or linking the listings themselves to Inventory items), they should relist or repost automatically regardless of whether or not they sell until you remove the Auto Relist profile from the listings.
Our system will evaluate whether or not to relist your items based on your Auto Relist Profile settings at the time the listings close, so those which sell using the Buy it Now option should be evaluated at the time of sale and those which sell via auction or do not sell should be evaluated at the end of the 7 day duration.
Our Auto Relisting system was not originally set up with this particular need in mind and I realize this method of setting things up is not at all intuitive, but I have found that this method works sufficiently for users who would like to their items to relist automatically regardless of whether they sell.
I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance with your account, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the “Help” tab and selecting the “File Support Case” option.
