Hi Everyone -- I couldn't find this answer in my search this morning.

I would like to remove Auctiva insurance from all my listings as I currently have it as optional. Since EBay has changed their policies, I do not want to be responsible for the cost.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thank you! Ken

Hi Community,

I am not sure how eBay is going to handle active listings when this new policy is implemented. It is possible that they will automatically remove the insurance option from any active listings that offer it but it is also possible they will not change active listings and give sellers a certain amount of time to revise their listings to comply with their new policies.

I recommend contacting eBay’s customer support team to see if they can give you an idea how this is going to be handled. We do not offer any tools that can be used to revise active listings in bulk so, if you were to need to revise each of your active listings, you would need to use eBay’s “Revise your Item” form.

I hope this helps.

Hello again,

I just wanted to follow up on my previous post to this thread to let you all know that we actually did add the ability to bulk revise active listings through Auctiva. If you would like to see what can be revised using this new tool, just check the box next to an item on your Active Listings page and click the "Revise" option.

The shipping insurance section is not one of these but I suspect that may not be necessary depending on how eBay handles active listings. I am trying to figure out how active listings will be affected once this new policy is implemented and I'll update this thread with that information if I can get it.

Hi Community,

I was just able to get some additional information on this from eBay and learned that they will not be making any changes in active listings. Therefore, if you already have active listings that offer insurance as "required" or "optional", those listings will remain as they are and insurance will be handled the same way it always had when they sell.

Sellers will be required to remove any text from their descriptions that refer to insurance being optional or required, but adding a statement that says insurance is included will be permitted if shipping insurance is being rolled into the price of the item.

If you need to revise the descriptions of your active listings in bulk, you should be able to do so using the new “Find and Replace” option for revising the description area on the Auctiva site. You can find this option by checking the boxes next to the item you’d like to revise on your Active Listings page and clicking the “Revise” button.

If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to contact our customer support team using the form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx
