I purchased a domain name today and have tried using Filezilla to set up my directories but I can't seem to connect. While Auctiva's 300x400 default is okay I usually use 450x600. Also I spend a lot of time on my pics in Photoshop and I like to be the last one who processes them. I'm also looking to upload a couple of modest web pages now that I have my own domain (I'm so excited!).

Hi again,

You need to use Auctiva's picture upload services on the Images tab. Auctiva will store pictures at a max. of 1024x768 Landscape, which they call original. A 400x300 and 80x80 thumb are also automatically created and stored at Auctiva for use. Note, the picture hosting service is targeted for use in conjunction with the one-page lister for ebay, like all the Auctiva services.

Sorry to say, you can't create webpages with Auctiva (at least not yet). Auctiva is working toward having an eComm store service, hopefully by early fall. The current use of the domain name is for your Auctiva eBay store-front page.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Thanks for the info, you guys take a lot of the stress out of this. Well my eMail forwarding is set up, and I tried out your listing editor, it's better than eBays, but theirs is terrible. As far as the images go, I like to have a little more control over things so for now I'm going to stick with ClicPic, hand coding my HTML, and my comcast image hosting.
I'll paste my code into your editor, because I really like the scrolling gallery and I probably wouldn't live long enough to learn the JavaScript it would take to do myself. I hate to sound fussy about the image size thing, but this pic:

although it looks okay at at 400x300 is breathtaking at 600x450. Incidentally I got $16 for those rosary beads while another almost identical set listed by someone else went unsold. I'll still keep my Turbo Lister synched, (or should that be sunch?) 'cause sometimes I like working offline...such heresy! Eek
Thanks again for all your help
Hi,

You can still use TurboLister and copy-paste the HTML code for the Scrolling Gallery for use. That's done from the link under the sample of your Gallery on the Store tab page. You can also build listings with the Auctiva listing editor and export the HTML code from the Saved Listings page (look for <HTML> at right of each).

You can also insert pictures into your Auctiva-based template listing from external URLs (like ClicPic) or you can host them at Auctiva and insert-size the picture, e.g. you can upload the pic to Auctiva and insert the original size picture to the listing editor using that feature on the editor toolbar. I do that sometimes too, in deference to the Supersize pop-up method that Auctiva provides.

Oh...and I don't work for Auctiva. I'm a member like you.

Hope those tips help.
