Kept getting a long message box saying that either the image was too big (it wasn't), or that Auctiva was too busy so to try again later.

Tried every 10 minutes for maybe an hour.

Switched over to Internet Explorer, and it's working fine. Firefox still isn't.

Auctiva -- having compatability problems with Java today?

I don't know where else to complain, so I'm doing it here (I even asked Auctiva Help who I could complain to, but they didn't exactly answer that question). Here's my frustrating recent history with Auctiva, in a nutshell: Used Internet Explorer 8 to create and post listings through Auctiva. Then Auctiva started charging a fee. I paid. Then started encountering problems when editing listings (eg, preview button is faulty, fonts and colors and formats have a mind of their own, pictures not showing up in active listings, etc). Auctiva Help suggested I use an older version of IE. Seriously?? So downloaded latest Firefox instead. Next day, I get a "failure to upload images". Auctiva Help suggests that my images are too big (this can't be the problem, because I'm not new to this and neither are my images). Auctiva Help suggests I clear my browser cache. SERIOUSLY?? By this point it's been ONE day since I downloaded Firefox (because I had no choice) and I've ONLY used it to access Auctiva - I kept my Internet Explorer for everything else. Which is lucky for me, because it turns out that, for some reason, the images will only upload if I use IE. So now I have 2 browsers - one for uploading images and one for editing item descriptions - to perform a single task that was once simple. And free. Confused
