can video be added to my listings?

if this can be done, what is the process? I tried to drag a short video of my item into the item description and that was unsuccessful.

Hello!

Yes, you can add videos to your eBay listings by simply pasting the HTML code into the description editor. Note: you must use an approved video-hosting site (such as YouTube or Vzaar) and follow eBay's guidelines for videos.
