Can we get a countdown???

10:30? Heck it started at 10 after 10 tonight, luckly I just got my ad saved then went to preview it and couldn't. BUT I got it saved, I hope anyway.

I always appreciate good constructive feedback... and this is a great idea. Let me think about what I can do.. and I will get back to you.

Yeah, that's a great idea. I'm sure maintenance times can get fudged around occasionally (someone has to leave early, whatever) but even under normal circumstances some kind of 15-minute warning would be nice.

We will now give a one hour warning on the 'alert' on the top of the page, approximately one hour prior to the maintenance happening.

One question (and yes I'll be nice) You said on top of the page? Will this be on top of the page regardless of where you are at in Auctiva? So if I'm reading the boards, I'll still see the alert and know not to go list? And will this be a "NOTICABLE" alert? Okay, that was two questions, lol.

We will place an ALERT (you can not miss it) on the top of the page. This Thursday around 10pm PST, look for it.

What happened?? I just checked at 10:15pm..and no alert??

I didn't know about this new alert until I read this thread just now. I was working on a listing last night (forgot it was Thursday night), and it was before 11:00 but could not post or save it. Since I didn't know about the alerts, I didn't look for one, but if it was there it certainly didn't stand out enough for me to notice it.

I don't know what to say either...it couldn't have been on my page at the time I was working on my listing, as I definitely would have noticed that! (The red is good!) Maybe it didn't show up on my page if I already had my page opened before the alert was posted? Anyway, now I will know what to look for...and I will try to remember to stay away from posting on Thursday nights! Thanks!

BTW...I wasn't complaining in the other post, just letting you know that I didn't notice any kind of alert.

Well I see the awesome little alert button now, and your right it can't be missed. It shows on all the pages except here on the community pages.

I think its great, cause not everyone reads or checks the boards and now you can just put it up and regardless of where someone is at they'll see it.

Except it would be really great if it also showed within the community pages. I can imagine that some people would completely bypass the alert on the main page in order to get straight to the forums to post about their troubles.

Or they may have the forums bookmarked and may routinely bypass the home page anyway.

It isn't just on the home page, it's also on top of the lister, image, profiles, sales, reports, store and my account tabs. so if they are having a problem while listing the alert button shows on top.

However,it couldn't hurt to show it in the communities also. But I did notice that the team did two post yesterday about their issues besides putting up the alert button.
