Hi there.

I've been combing through the discussion topics and I can't seem to find this being discussed before. (If I missed it I apologize).

But I was wondering if you can manually change the choice of aution photos that are scrolling through your photo gallery. I realize the photos scrolling are displaying the photo of my auctions that are ending soonest -- but I don't think these are the nicest of items that I have up for bid. Just happens to be that my more newly listed items/auctions are the ones I'd like to showcase and the ones I'd prefer to be scrolling in the gallery.

That said, Is there a way to manually change which photos/which auctions that your gallery is showcasing?

If someone could let me know I'd greatly appreciate it. THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance!

Kind Regards, Deana

PS: I don't have a 'store'. Right now I'm just listing some things around the house that we're not using as 'trial' for me to learn and acclimate myself on selling on ebay. (I've never listed/sold anything on it before: have only been buying things for the past few years). But if this 'trial' goes well for me I then I plan to begin selling large quantity of new items and open a 'ebay store', actually the hosting through Auctiva - not ebay - as the listings I'm doing so far with them are going very well, very easy, user-friencly system, AND can't beat their low fees!

Anyway, the reason I bring up the store part is because I suspect people who pay to have 'stores' must also have access to more controls and options, likely including photo gallery options. I don't know if people like me right now, with free accounts and just with a few listings, have this same access to things like that (like galleries, etc)?

Hi there!

Thanks for reply.

Well I just logged on to my account to get one of my auction #'s to show you what I mean re: not all auctions/photos displaying in gallery. In doing so, I noticed that there's no photos scrolling through the gallery at all. I'm quite sure that is temporary, and suspect that it must have to do with the technical updates that auctiva evidently does on Thurs. night.

Anyway, when they're done with this and auctiva is back up-and-running maybe you can take a peak at the gallery via an auction of mine. Item number: 290209198279 which, I believe, is the one ending soonest (ending tommorrow).

Note that the gallery has about 10 (I think it is, can't remember off-hand, but I'm certain it definately isn't as much as 15) photos that keep circulating in rotation. But meanwhile if you click on my 'view other items' key you'll notice that I actually have 40 active listings.

Take good care. Deana

PS: That is a good point you have made re: I may like the newly listed items better, but it doesn't necessarily mean others will see it that way. An old saying here, not sure if it's also used in Australia, goes something to this effect 'one person's junk can be another person's treasure' ....

So true. So true, isn't it?
Hi Deana,

LOL yes we do use that saying in Oz!!! Now I don't know whether you will read this tonight (can't get used to the times that are logged when you post on this website as when you posted it was the 28th February and in Sydney it is Friday 29th February 7.30pm). I have just had a look at your listings and by the way, you are selling great stuff (love the trackie pants) anyway, you are right, none of the pictures on the scrolling gallery are working it just says "my store window is currently updating item info" and that's on all your auctions - yep I checked the whole lot!!! I figure that by the time you read this your scrolling gallery will be working again as it will be 29th your time and I'll be fast asleep!! I will have a look at them tomorrow (Saturday 1st March in Oz) and see if they are all OK and I'll let you know. Hope I haven't rambled too much.

Take Care too Smile
