Hi Community,

If you are aware of category changes that have taken place on eBay, that are not currently reflected on the Auctiva website, please let us know by filing a support request using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx

When submitting your support request, please be sure to include a description of the change that was made and the category number(s) that is affected.

I sent a support request and advised them that the childrens clothing category has been expanded and recieved the following response:

"Thank you for reporting this category change. Our categories will be updated by the end of this week. Sorry for any inconveniences this may cause."

If there are other changes in diff categories it might be a good idea to let them know.
The changes happened during my auctions and my listings that were listed in 4-6 girls went to a 4 girls. My items were all 6X. I complained to ebay and they refunded my listing fees, but nothing else. I sold a Rothschild coat for $20.00. I didn't do a reserve auction because I knew it would bring much more. It was a unique coat. Ebay offered no compensation and only said that I should keep up with their changes. I have since noticed that a lot of people have had their listings relisted in the wrong place. If everyone that did would complain, and they refunded the listing cost, then it might get a point across. They send out marketing messages, but not one on such an important change as this? How can they get away with it. Let me know if there is a class-action law suit, I'm in!!
Unfortunately I could not find a way to do that with eBay or Auctiva bulk edit just for 20 items last night. I dread a related category change which could result in 200+ items having to all be changed individually. In fact the eBay bulk edit to relist kept hanging because I could not change the category from a now deprecated rail book to a non-fiction book.

Looking at the category threads on eBay boards eBay does not give a damn especially to sellers using store inventory format, they want only auctions. It think it was late last year they significantly reduced the visibilty of store in searches and recently hid the option for store searches off of the default options available from an initial search. You now have to customise the search display to even get store searches shown as an option.

Auction only sellers appear to be far less affected than inventory store sellers by these category changes, as turnover is faster.

I have already added a bulk edit of category request to the suggestions board. Please add you thoughts to that thread, we need help and Auctiva is probably the only one who is likely to assist.

Apologies for the rant, I try not to but this situation caused by power crazy mega-profit eBay is really aggravating me and seemingly many other buyers, sellers all over. Mad
