hello
i love auctiva and find it simplifies the ebay listing process no end! however i have one question. i always use a pre-loaded template, and tend to change it for each auction. sometimes i choose one and then after i have listed the item on ebay, find it doesn't look right, or the writing clashes, etc. is there any way of changing a template after an item is listed?
many thanks Big Grin

Hi terrorvicky and ChooChooGuy -

There's a way you can revise active auctions (including template changes) but it includes a few steps...

1) Locate your listing in your Saved Listings folder, make your desired changes, and save.
2) Check the box next to your updated listing in your Saved Listings folder and click the "HTML" link on the right (this is the complete HTML for your listing).
3) Copy the HTML in the popup box.
4) Locate the item on eBay and click the "Revise Item" button.
5) Click "Edit Description" then click the "Enter your own HTML" tab.
6) Paste the copied HTML in place of what's there and save your changes.

Hope that helps!

Hi Cara, clean cut and straightforward but it is must be pointed out that this is not changing the template as such but a clean way to update a listing to a revised application of a template. So the template should be corrected first or a new one created then use it to generate the new listing for thr copy & pasting.

By the way terrorvicky get it done quickly before anyone bids and make sure your preview and error check a sample listing before saving and producing many revised listings. Smile
