I was wondering about the current status of the software changes to include Giving Works for charity auctions as Mike D. indicated possibly Feb 2007 last fall.

I am so excited to find Auctiva! I started a fund raising effort for our chruch last year on eBay. We had over a 1,000 auctions raising between $18k-$20k!!

I'm thrilled to implement Auctiva in our auctions however the charity listing issue is a problem.

For the auction below, I had to list it with Auctiva. Then "list similar" relist with eBay, delete the first listing (wasting the initial listing fees). Looks great, but defeats the value benefits of Auctiva plus there a days I list up to 30 items and this costs a lot of time.

REALLY hoping the new update can solve this. Thanks for your wonderful service!

God bless, Nancy

Hi Nancy,

The addition of the ability to post Giving Works charity auctions through the Auctiva website is on the project list, and will most likely be implemented following our Phase II release, which is tentatively scheduled for May of 2007.

Feel free to check the progress of this development preiodically by contacting our customer support department. Our friendly support staff will be happy to provide you with any updates that become available.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your reply. I'll look forward to the Phase II release.

In the meantime, an Auctiva user was nice enough to supply me with a great solution:

1. Start listing on Auctiva. Fill in the title. Skip the subtitle, category
2. Fill in item description, them pick your template, and your details.
3. Do not fill in price, shipping etc.

* Remember fill title, description, template, and details.

4. SAVE the listing. Do not upload to ebay.
5. In second browser window, start eBay listing as normal.
6. Fill in title & upload the one Free photo.
7. Stop when you get up to description. Open other browser window and go back to Auctiva.
8. Locate Saved Listing.
9. Put a check in the box next to the listing you are looking for, on the top of the page click "Get HTML" a pop up window opens up. Click select all, and Right click on the type and "copy"
10. Go back to Ebay and "paste" the HTML into the description. Make sure you are on the HTML tab. "Paste" and finish the rest of the listing on Ebay. WORKS GREAT!
