Have you updated your listings in accordance with eBay's new Duplicate Listing policy?

Although this policy took effect two months ago, it seems that many eBay sellers have yet to comply, whether due to lack of information, or lack of tools (or where to find them) to help get the job done. Among those not yet in compliance, eBay is telling us, there unfortunately remain a few Auctiva Sellers.

Regardless of what any of us think of eBay's Duplicate Listing policy, the reality is that it does have real teeth. Not only is eBay aggressively taking down listings they deem to be duplicates, they will only reimburse listing fees for the first round of removed listings. After that sellers will forfeit their listing fees for any subsequent removals, so it can continued posting of duplicate listings can get expense rather quickly.

Further, continued infractions of the policy by a seller can--at eBay's discretion--result in that seller's listing privileges being suspended.

To help our sellers comply with the Duplicate Listing Policy, we published an article on our EDU pages back on Oct. 19, 2010 that provided a guide for Auctiva users on how to 'de-dupe' your listings.

Now, we've updated that article to give you even more ways to ensure your listings meet eBay's Duplicate Listing policy requirements. You can read this article here at the link.

If you aren't in compliance with the Duplicate Listing Policy, you need to get yourself in compliance very quickly. This article has a tons of valuable information to help you do that.
