Please Please Please remove the "allow access" feature when we are trying to cut or copy or paste. Not diggin it. If it has to be there, can you tell me why? Thanks again for all you do Choo!

Hello again, where is this "allow access" feature, I don't recall seeing it in my travels around Auctiva ?
In the body of the create listing page where you type the item descriptions. Lets say I am listing 5 shirts all the same type, brand, size but different colors. Instead of typing it 5 times, I highlight, right click & select copy then right click & select paste. This is when you get that annoying "allow access" pop up 1-2 times in a row every time you copy & paste.
Ah, I see, or rather I have not seen it as I create all my text elsewhere and store it on my PC and then paste it straight in to a listing dscription.
Just tried directly in a new listing but the 'message' did not show, however I highlight, press ctrl c and paste with ctrl v.
These are fast and ancient keyboard based short cuts you can use instead of selecting copy and paste from buttons or menus.
See if these old ways work for you

I use ctrl c & v. I get the same problem. However, I find that it is quicker to deny access because it still gives it access only, it does not try to edit anything. After 1 to 5 times of not allowing access, it does not ask again.
Hi which browser do you use (I use IE6 on XP), I have heard in the past of different effects/dialogues appearing with Firefox and IE7 when using Auctiva's editors.
There may be a browser setting you need to tweak and if you cannot find out how or where it may be worth starting another thread specifically asking that very question.
Specific questions are more likely to get a reply from somone how can help than a general or vague request.

I use ie7 & firefox from time to time. Auctiva is the only site that ever has this happen when you cut and paste from MS Word. From other applications, I have not had the problem show up. I've not noticed any need to change any settings. Its a very focused thing.
Hi, a lot of pasting from MSWord problems on here do seem to involve IE7 and to a degree Firefox.
A lot of clutter is created in the HTML text when converted from an MSWord document. Does not seem to matter if the document is converted by MSWord iteself(unfiltered, in other words MSWord formatting left in) or by the inline editors IE7 still seems the most problematical.
Using MSWORD is far from ideal but unless you use a proper HTML design editor then this will always be a potential source of problems.

If you have anti-virus software or other security software running, they may well be the cause.
I have the same problem doing the cut and paste. I use firefox. Problem only happens in Auctiva so I don't think it is a browser or anti virus problem.
Hi Cardshop, have you tried another browser such as IE6 ?
Unless you have tried other browsers then you cannot be sure it is an Auctiva problem.
I have had no problems with the Auctiva or any other site with XP/IE6/McAfee/Win Defender etc running so I am not about to try Firefox or IE7 to prove my point

I also have that pop-up when I copy, using the ctrl C, ctrl V and I did not have it before auctiva did the new updates. I only copy from the listing page, moving things around mostly. I use IE..I may try what isdaman said and not allow access to see if that works for me.
