Counter issues, AGAIN

In all the listings I've created in the past week, I specifically checked the NO COUNTER option. Each time, that Kick It Back counter showed up anyway. I had to manually take out the HTML. Not such a bad thing with only a few live auctions, but would be horrible if I had many. PLEASE tell me why this keeps happening. I checked and double checked that I chose the NO COUNTER option.

Just this past weekend, I revoked my Sellathon subscription. Now it looks as if it might be time to try a different listing service. I'd PAY for this one if I didn't have this utterly ridiculous counter issue.

I'm with you on this one--I can't get rid of them on my listings either.

Just out of curiosity, what is it about the kickitback counters that you don't like? Do you miss the old sellathon counters that showed more info than these do?

I personally don't like their look...mine seem to count the hits okay, but why do they have to be so darn big??? and ugly???

One thing I don't like is the fact that anyone, including any competitors you may have, can see what are your most popular listings.

I like you have a whole bunch (2 - 300 listings) now showing the counter giving anyone access to my statistics.

Anyone able to tell me how to get rid of them?

I found out why they have been there, I had the sellathon counter ticked under my account preferences.

I have unticked this now but it has only been since the sellathon changed to kickitback that I have had the problem.

To get rid of the counter, you have to turn it off in your account preferences. Trying to do it on the listing does not work.

To see your hits, click on the counter, then click on the link at the top of the kick-it-back page that comes up. But don't expect the counts to be accurate.

that's funny, I chose the HIDDEN kickitback counter but there are none in my auctions! I'm behind on my reading, but did Auctiva dis-engage the option recently?

And tks michy...I went to the kib website, signed in, but no option to see 'my counters' anywhere even if I did have them!?

The no counter option seems to be working for me. But I click no counter in my settings and also on my listing.

From what i have read and experienced you need to remove the sellathon permission in your preferences on here. That should stop the counter on any new listings.

Any old listings will still have it if your just relisting them or if they are on GTC. Suggets you go into each listing prior to listing them and click save at the bottom which should change it to no counters.

If your listings are GTC you might have to cancel the listing and start again but dont take my word for that.
