Even that paying Auctiva site is not immune to the glitches and problems that abound in Auctiva. Just look at the prices on the page you posted.
Specifically the first two plans: Starter and Basic. Explain to me how you can save money when the first plan is double the regular plan. And the second plan. If you click through to the next page you get the correct prices.
I submitted a problem report to Auctiva Support (free one as I could not find a way to contact classic Auctiva), they reviewed the problem, said the plans look to be in error, said they would pass it on to Classic Auctiva to be fixed. That was a month ago. A month!
I was reviewing classic Auctiva, as I wanted a hard disk based system that would not have to rely on Auctiva online Free any more. Needless to say, I stopped evaluation of the Auctiva products because on all the problems with the free service and the fact that they can't even fix their marketing page.
I personally believe Auctiva has been in trouble for months and this is reflected in the increasing amount of poor service. Financially probably which does not give them the resources (people and equipment) to maintain a credible level of service anymore.
Remember nobody does anything for free. Auctiva is not a charity helping the free users make money. Auctiva was gaining something from providing the Free Auctiva on the Internet for years. Be it from insurance, new customers, paying stores, click throughs, whatever. For some reason their free model of business does not work anymore, especially in these economic times. I think collaspe may be soon.
