First, I'm not sure why there are 3, (green, orange, red) notification boxes at the top of the Auctiva window. What is each one for? Second, I don't understand some of the descriptions. For example: API Warning, "Your Item Specifics ("2919") do not match the category you selected. Could someone please tell me what that means? Thanks much for any help.

Hi calgal,

The notifications that are displayed when you click the green number in the "Notifications" section are positive notifications. Messages will be added to this section when your account sign up is completed, when you successfully generate a token and, most notably, when listings are successfully posted or relisted through your Auctiva account.

The ones that are displayed when you click the orange number in the "Notifications" section are neutral notifications. These are returned when a listing is successfully posted to eBay but that a change is made to the listing by eBay. For example, if you try posting a listing with the "Require Immediate Payment" option selected while Auctiva Checkout is enabled, the item will post successfully but a notification will be displayed here indicating that Auctiva Checkout was dropped from the item because the "Require Immediate Payment" option is not compatible with third party checkout systems.

Finally, the ones that are listed when you click the red number in the "Notifications" section are negative notifications. When you attempt to post a listing to eBay through Auctiva and the listing is rejected by eBay, you can see the error messages that eBay returned with respect to the listings in this section of your account.

The API Warning that you mentioned here seems to indicate that the item specifics we have in our system for the category do not match what eBay is offering. We made some changes to the item specifics section with the site update we conducted last week that may have resolved this and we'd like to know if it is still happening.

If you continue to receive that warning when posting some of your listings, I recommend contacting our customer support team by completing the form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx
