Hi there

if anyone could give me a steer i would be grateful

i sell second hand books so effectively i list thousands of GTC auctions that are all 'one ofs'

i am now just about to bounce over the 1GB image hosting limit and i was wondering if there was a cunning (easy) way to reduce the amount of images on my account

effectively i want to delete the images for any listing i have that is closed (happy for the listing to be deleted as well)

i have worked out how to delete all my old saved listings (i assume ever listing i create saves as i cant see a way not to save the listing)....

but deleting the listings doesnt seem to delete the images (i imagine cos the images are not directly tied to the auctions)

going to image hosting and trying to identify images that are not on saved listings doesnt seem to find the images from the listings i just deleted (i cant work out why unless there is a delay in the system recognising deleted images)

any help anyone can give would be gratefully received

happy new year

regards

peter

Hi Peter,

We have a pretty good tutorial on how to delete images. There are several ways to do it...you can read the tutorial by clicking this link.

One indirect way that might help (I don't think the tutorial actually spells this method out) is to put all the images you want to get rid of in the same folder and then delete the folder. This you can by moving the images to the folder you want to create, and then clicking on the 'Manage Image Folders' link on main Image Hosting Management page. There you will see a list of folders; you can delete the folder and all images in it will be deleted as well.

Hope this helps.
