I just created a listing and scheduled it to post this evening. When I reopened it, in my scheduled listing file, I found the description had morphed into a nearly unreadable mess. This happened, as well, yesterday after a listing had been posted to eBay. Fortunately, a viewer emailed and asked me to fix it, so it could be read. What's going on? Am I doing something wrong? Needless to say, it's time consuming to fix, after it's been posted.

Hi 2librans,

Thanks for posting about your experience here. I would need to review the listing in question to confidently state what happened, but I have seen a couple cases in the past in which the including of a small amount of HTML code in the standard version of the editor has caused the entire listing description to be converted to HTML when submitted to eBay.

In order to check whether that may have caused the behavior you have described, just open the saved listing from which you posted this item within your Auctiva account and check whether you see any HTML code in the standard version of the editor.

If you find that there is some HTML code in the standard version of the description editor, just make sure to remove that code if before posting any additional eBay items from that saved listing in the future and I do not believe you will encounter this problem again.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance with this, or any other aspect of your account for that matter, please contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the “Help” tab within your account and selecting the “File Support Case” option.

-Mike
