Dislike new image uploader

The basic uploader is still available--just click on the Image tab and then "Upload images"--the basic uploader is still there to use.

I personally love the new uploader and it saves me lots of time. The old one was so slow and wouldn't let me upload larger images.

I don't use Firefox myself, but I've read on other threads that a lot of those users are having problems because their Java Runtime was not enabled or not version 1.4 or later.

I have a fresh install of the very latest Java, and still have frequent crashes in FireFox.

Perhaps the problem lies in the fact that the new loader seems to be trying to use both Java AND ActiveX? And my question: WHY are you using ActiveX if you're using Java??

That's very inconvenient--I generally click on the image box as I set up a listing, I don't upload them using the image tab, seperately.

Firefox is still crashing when uploading some images, and not others. Of course my Java is up to date, and so is my Firefox, and Windows, etc. I've noticed that the images that appear normal in thumbnails are more likely to crash the browser than those that have a pink wash over them. I have no idea what causes that.

The picture loader still crashes my firefox, but not IE. Any word on when this will be addressed/fixed?

My Firefox crashes ALL the time, but never when I'm uploading pictures...still annoying...

You can bulk upload photos by clicking on the auctiva uploader then you can drop and drag pics into the upload space and click on upload.

I use firefox and love it. No problems at all.

There is actually now an account setting you can enable if you would like to use the HTML Uploader on the listing creation page once again. If you would like to enable this setting, just click the "Account Settings" link under the "My Account" tab within your account, check the box next to "Use HTML Uploader on One Page Lister", and then click the "Update Account Preferences" button below.
